No finger pointing before commission findings: PM Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said now the Supreme Court has announced the establishment of the commission on Abbotabad incident and no one should accuse any one before the findings of the commission.
Talking to media here on Tuesday after inaugurating the Benazir Income Support Program Secretariat Building he said the leader of Opposition has a status and respect in a parliamentary system but we were not bound to agree with him on the formation of Abbotabad commission.
He said the vision of reconciliation and dialogue was given by their leader Shaheed Benazir Bhutto which would be continued.
Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said the Government is making concerted efforts to give rights to the poor according to the vision of PPP leaders Late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Late Benazir Bhutto and have reduced the ever increasing gap between the rich and poor in the country.
Addressing a function here Tuesday after inaugurating the Benazir Income Support Program Secretariat Building arranged in connection with 58th Birthday celebrations of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto he said four hundred thousand beneficiaries have been registered with the BISP during the last three years which is a historic success. He said BISP is a big social safety network aimed at elimination of poverty and empowering women. He said following its transparency and usefulness this program has become the centre of the hopes of the people of Pakistan.
He said by the end of this year this number will be increased to seven hundred thousand.
Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said in addition to other programmes including cash financial assistance to the poor and technical training, life insurance program is also being launched from today for the bread winners of the BISP beneficiaries.
The Prime Minister said so for BISP has completed 85 per cent poverty survey in the country. He said it is being done with transparency and above any political considerations.
He said BISP is providing skilled training to the needy family members of the country with an aim to help them to earn their livelihood honorably.
Addressing the function, Chairperson Benazir Income Support program Farzana Raja said under the program, Health Insurance Scheme for the BISP member will be introduced during the next two months.
She said so far one hundred and fifty thousand deserving people have been given technical training under the BISP. She said under the Waseela-e-Haq program of BISP; so far five thousand people have started their business.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also distributed cheques of financial assistance to the needy women and life insurance certificates. Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Shah and Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr. Asim Hussain were also present.
Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani said that his government would continue to promote the policy of reconciliation and dialogue. SANA
