Govt, agencies responsible for fading law & order situation: Nawaz Sharif

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that the government and the intelligence agencies are responsible for Pakistan’s deteriorating security situation.

Speaking to a public gathering in connection with Kashmir elections in Bagh, he said the Kashmir dispute should be resolved in light with United Nations’ resolutions. He said like Pakistan, Kashmir affairs are not well and unemployment is on the rise with every day. Speaking about the elections in Azad Kashmir, he said that the people would have to think before voting for the same people again.
He criticized the PPP led Federal government and said the government was continuing with its corrupt practices and had no regard for the hardworking poor of the country.
Country has never seen corruption of this level before, he said, adding that billion of rupees are being embezzled every day, which is the hard earned money of the poor masses. He said we asked India that if you are willing to solve the Kashmir issue lets sit and talk but we are not those who surrendered on a phone call of US after 9/11. He said that when India carried out five nuclear explosions than we had responded with six nuclear tests instead of foreign pressure. He said US President Bill Clinton telephoned him five times but he never listened to him and clearly told him that we can’t compromise on Pakistani sovereignty.
He said that dictators should have no permission for breaking the constitution of country, arresting the Supreme Court judges and dissolving the elected parliament.
He said that those, who were responsible for these crimes should be held responsible and exemplary punishment should be awarded to them.
The PML-N chief said that the Supreme Court had ordered to write a letter to Swiss government asking for President Zardari’s foreign funds to be returned and that the President never lived up to his promises.
He said I signed charter of democracy with Benazir Bhutto and President Zardari was bound to act on it for beginning a new era in Pakistan history but he never implemented on it.
He said he tried his best to end the status quo from the country and change its 60 year long history. He said Musharraf should be tried for opening up a venture in Kargill at his own. He hoped Musharraf would be arrested one day and would be brought to the court to face the justice. He said dictator Yahya Khan was laid to rest in national flag which is against the standard procedure.
He said I always supported Muslim Conference in Azad Jammu and Kashmir but it failed to fulfill the wishes of its people. I don’t call for a revolution through a night, he said. Muslim League N past record is clear, he informed
He said that the network of motorway would be established after coming into power, adding that the people should vote PML-N and its allied party JI for winning the elections. SANA
