ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry considering the budget proposals of Punjab government unsatisfactory stated that the failed yellow cabs scheme was being launched again to benefit the PML-N parliamentarians.
In a statement on Friday, APML spokesperson said that PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif during his regime in 1990-92 imported fifty thousand yellow cabs and due to that failed scheme at that time two banks suffered severe financial crunch and before initiating new yellow cabs scheme, PML-N led provincial Punjab government should be held accountable for mismanagement of those fifty thousand cabs and expose the elements conspiring in that corruption.
APML spokesman further pointed out that PML-N led Punjab’s provincial government at one hand has allocated Rs 3 billion for eight ‘Danish Schools’ while on the other side only Rs 1 billion have been allocated for the other thousands schools in the province and the provincial government should be held accountable for this exploitation and discrimination.
Fawad Ch further explaining his concerns for allocation of Rs 30 billion for secret schemes stated that during the fiscal year 2011-11, almost 60% share from annual fiscal budget was not disbursed and neither the provincial government achieve economic targets for recovery of duties and the performance of PML-N led provincial government bear witness to the fact that this government is incapable to do something good for the people as well as for the country.
