ISLAMABAD : Former Inter-Services-Intelligence (ISI) chief general (retd) Hameed Gul
has said that attack on PNS Mehran in Karachi is the reaction of drone
attacks and America is forcing Taliban to attack Pakistani forces and
masses.
In an interview with a private TV channel, he said that we are
passing through a war like situation and this is in the result of
presence of Raymond Davises network in Pakistan.
He said that ultimately, our nuclear programme is America’s target
and twice passage of resolutions of parliament against the drone
attacks did not bring any positive results for stopping these drone
attacks.
He added that if we did not sign any agreement regarding the drone attacks then we should go to United Nations.
He said that we are in a war like situation and we are facing hidden
initiated by US in form of drone attacks, adding that America is
forcing people to target Pakistani masses and forces and institutions
as on Sunday President Obama given statement that they would conduct
unilateral operation in Pakistan on presence of any terrorist.
He said that Raymond Davis was one case but now Americans have
established a network, which is operating in Pakistan and this network
is affecting our masses badly.
He added that unfortunately a dictator signed agreements with
America and democratic government do not ended to secure the country.
He said that we are member country of UN and government should go to
save our sovereignty because two resolutions of parliament did not stop
America from drone strikes in Pakistan, whenever he desired.
He added that streets, bazaars and cities are full with blood and in
the reaction Pakistan is facing another war, which is harming masses
and economy of the country.
He said that Raymond Davis network is working with different strategies and their one and only target is our nuclear assets.
He added that when we says that our nuclear programme is in safe
hands then America start working to prepare a case against us with the
arguments that Pakistan’s nuclear assets are not in the safe hands so
we together should secure the assets.
He concluded that intentions of America are clear and statements of
Secretary General of NATO Rasmussen that it is our collective
responsibility to control the Pakistan’s atomic programme left nothing
