Senate shows serious concerns over Abbottabad incident

ISLAMABAD : Members representing different parties in the Senate voiced concern over Abbottabad incident in which Osama Bin Ladin was killed in a US operation and said it would have serious implications for Pakistan.
They demanded of the Prime Minister to take the nation into confidence through Senate; meanwhile the members also pointed out that the issue involves violation of the country’s sovereignty and intelligence failure.

Responding to their points Leader of the House Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said he would convey concern of the members to the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and also ask Foreign Office and Ministry of Defence to provide details of the incident to the House. He said he would ask them to apprise the House about role played by our government, forces and agencies.
Those who spoke on the incident included Ishaq Dar, Mir Hasil Khan Bazenjo, Professor Khurshid Ahmed, Maulana Gul Naseeb, Abdul Rahim Mandokhel and Raja Muhammad Zafarul Haq. SANA
