London : Prime Minister David Cameron, who famously accused Pakistan of 'looking both ways' on the issue of terrorism during a visit to India last year, today said the political leadership in Pakistan needs to be supported.
Speaking to the BBC, he said it would be wrong 'to throw up our hands and walk away' and not engage with Pakistan.
Cameron is expected to make a statement in the House of Commons today on the US forces killing Osama bin laden in Abbotabad.
Cameron, who spoke to Pakistan's president Asif Ali Zardari, yesterday, said, "What we do know is that Pakistan's political leadership, and I spoke to the president and the prime minister yesterday, are staunch in their work in combating terrorism". PTI
