West Indies wins toss, elects to bat first against Pakistan

ASTRIES, St. Lucia - West Indies captain Darren Sammy won the toss Saturday and chose to bat first in the opening cricket one-day international against Pakistan at Beausejour Stadium.
West Indies, which won the one-off Twenty20 international last Thursday, left out fast bowler Ravi Rampaul and leg-spinner Anthony Martin from its squad of 13.
Pakistan made one change to their team from that Twenty20 international, bringing in all-rounder Hammad Azam for his debut match in place of left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman.
