LOWER DIR : At least 21 security personnel were martyred and seven others injured in the result of the Militants attack on a check post of the security forces in Lower Dir, near the Afghan border here on Friday.
According to private TV channel sources 21 security personnel were martyred and seven others injured when militants attacked security check post in Maskni Dara.
According to the spokesman of the Frontier Corpse (FC) militants entered from Afghanistan into Pakistan and attacked the FC check post.
According to the FC spokesperson the martyred include nine FC personnel, three police personnel and one Levis personal.
ISPR press release has verified the incident, claiming the security forces have evacuated the Kharki check post from the militants.
Several soldiers were also injured in the attack, and the army shifted the bodies and injured to a hospital in Timergara, a main town in the Dir district. The injured were later shifted to Peshawar. (SANA)
