Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani directed the Interior Minister Rehman during National Assembly session to ensure tight security for Mukhtaran Mai. In this regard, Interior Minister Rehman Malik issued orders to IG Punjab. Mukhtaran Mai would get every kind of legal help.
It is to be noted that Supreme Court of Pakistan acquitted five suspects in gang rape case of Mukhtaran Mai. She expressed deep grief over the decision. She said that Suo Moto action wasn’t needed if court’s decision remained unchanged. Online
