WASHINGTON : Pakistani Ambassador in United States Hussain Haqqani has said that Pakistan and America have strong relations and there is no danger to the ongoing process of strategic dialogue between the two countries.
He said that the disputed matters will be resolved through dialogue process.
In his interview with US TV channel “CNN” Hussain Haqqani said that Pakistan and United States have strong mutual relationship and both the countries are holding dialogues on matters of mutual interest.
He said that although Raymond Davis case created problems from Pakistani side; whereas in some cases Americans also create troubles but the process of mutual dialogue should remain in process. Haqqani said that bilateral dialogue that held in Washington was successful but some people don’t want strong relations between Pakistan and US.
He said that nobody knows that who generates such reports of Pak-American weakened relations. There are few elements in Pakistan that dislike Pak-US relations but now some Americans also have started undue criticism on Pak-US relations.
Haqqani said that US is co-operating with Pakistan, adding that the differences does not indicate end of relations.
He said that Pakistan is fighting war against terrorism in its own interest and US is helping and co-operating with Pakistan; however there are some differences between two the countries but it does not mean that both the countries end their relations.
He said that Pakistan and United States both are well aware of the importance of bilateral relations. SANA
