Islamabad : Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani in meeting Friday with Chinese Ambassador toPakistan Liu Jian discussed his upcoming visit to China in second half of May, 2011.
Gilani directed relevant Ministeries to put up current status on implementing all decisions taken during Chinese Prime Minister’s visit to Pakistan last year. He also directed Foreign Office for meetings with relevant Ministeries focusing on power generation, infrastructure, energy, communication, agriculture and reconstructing flood affected areas in talks with Chinese leaders during his visit.He thanked China for its plan to set up agricultural research and demonstration centres in Pakistan and asked Jian to setup these at Multan for BT cotton, in Faisalabad for textiles, in Gujranwala for rice and in major wheat growing areas of country.Prime Minister is likely to take a comprehensive agenda of talks with Chinese President, Premier, other leaders including corporate sector.Jian said every effort would be made by Chinese government in consultation with government of Pakistanto make the visit substantive and result oriented.
