Islamabad : British Prime Minister David Cameron Friday phoned Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani to say that his government was proactively pursuing Pakistan’s case with European Union for greater market access and sending EU fisheries delegation to Pakistan.
Cameron’s phone call was follow up on very useful discussions on bilateral and regional issues he had with Gilani during his visit to Islamabad on April 5, it was officially stated.
He also said his government was considering resuming British Airways flights to Pakistan to help reinvigorate friendly ties between two countries. Cameron said he would write to Gilani shortly in detail on implementation of decisions taken during his visit to strengthen strategic ties encompassingall areas of cooperation.
Both leaders also discussed Prime Minister Gilani’s coming visit to Kabul on April 16 and prospects of political settlement to pave way for restoring peace, stability in Afghanistan.
