Details of agreements with US, NATO & ISAF presented in Parliamentary body

All agreements with allied forces present in Afghanistan have been presented before the Parliamentary Committee on National Security.

The meeting of the committee was held under the chairmanship of Senator Mian Raza Rabbani in Parliament House on Thursday.
The officials of foreign and defence ministries appeared before the committee and presented the details of agreements.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar briefed the committee.
After the meeting talking to media Chairman of Committee Senator Raza Rabbani said that defence ministry officials have presented 9 agreements which were signed with US and ISAF, adding that committee has summoned further details of those agreements for further review.
Raza Rabbani said that there are no details of the verbal agreements in foreign and defence ministries, adding that the recommendations of envoy conference also have been presented before the committee and committee would suggest amendment in those recommendations after review after that those recommendations would be presented in joint session of the Parliament.
He said that next meeting of the committee would be held on December 24. Current government has not signed any agreement with US, NATO and ISAF, Rabbani said.
He said that committee’s meeting on memogate issue has been called on December 21 and all details from defence and foreign ministries have been summoned. Rabbani said that stopping funds by the US is unjustified. SANA
