CNG stations, marble factories issued notices

RAWALPINDI: Department of Environment Rawalpindi has issued notices to two CNG stations and two marble factories for causing environment pollution in the area, here on the other day.

The Assistant Director Mohammad Arshad and Assistant Research Officer Shumaila Shahid of Industrial section of department of Environment inspected the area of Range road and issued notices to two Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations and two marble factories as Shoib Marble factory, Data marble factory, S&S CNG station and Weak CNG station on charges of causing environment pollution in the area.
The Inspection team said that the compressors of the CNG stations were causing noise pollution in the area, while the action has been taken on complaints lodged by the residents of the area against the Marble factories.
