RAWALPINDI: Seven accused persons including Saud Aziz former CCPO
Rawalpindi and Khurram Shahzad SP have been indicted in Benazir Bhutto
assassination case while they all have pleaded not guilty.
Judge Shahid Rafiq of Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) took up the case for hearing in Adiala prison Saturday.
The
court while charge sheeting Saud Aziz and Khurram Shahzad said it was
responsibility of both the officers to provide security to Benazir
Bhutto on December, 27 but they both showed negligence in duty and did
not provide proper security.
The court has also indicted Aitzaz
Shah, Rafaqat Hussain, Husnain Gul, Abdul Rashid and Sher Zaman who were
arrested under terrorism charges. All these accused have pleaded not
guilty and one Sher Zaman has refused to sign charge sheet papers.
The
court while seeking the evidence of prosecution has summoned witnesses
on November, 19. The hearing of the case has been adjourned.
The
statements of prosecution witnesses will be recorded on November, 19.
Former President Pervez Musharraf has been declared proclaimed offender
