ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has directed federation to present
details of the agreement between it and provinces with regard to
transfer of PCS officers.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over
by Justice Shakir Ullah Jan took up for hearing the petition filed by
PCS offices against their postings to provinces.
Abid Hassan
Manto counsel for PCS officers argued that federation was authorised to
frame laws but the federation could not enact laws for interfering in
the matters of provinces. Federation could not interfere in the powers
of provinces by making these laws base.
Officers of all the four
provinces took the plea in the court that 710 officers of DGM group
were impediment on the way to their promotion as such laws had been
enacted with respect to transfers of these offices which were blocking
their promotions.
The court has adjourned the hearing till November, 14. Online
