Supreme Court moved to get release outstanding dues from NAB

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Community village Mera Bakot Muhammad Rafi Abbasi has prayed Supreme Court (SC) to issue directives to NAB to release his outstanding dues forthwith.

He has requested the SC in his application on suo motu notice that a German NGO and IHH signed an agreement with community for construction of 100 homes in Mera Bakot Chikothi after October, 2005 earth quake. Contract for construction work was awarded to Malik International Company, which assigned construction work to him being sub contract. Construction of 28 homes was completed and digging work for 38 homes was carried out. Later Malik Azhar Hussain, MD Malik International Company committed corruption and this NGO approached Islamabad Session Court. Later the case was transferred to Islamabad High Court.
He stated IHH gave power of attorney to Al-Khidmat Foundation. This foundation resorted to NAB.
Abbasi stated that he and Malik Azhar were summoned by NAB and later Malik Azhar was sent to jail. Malik Azhar informed NAB in writing that he was to pay outstanding dues of Rs 1432000 to him, Abbasi said.
