ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet
Secretariat on Friday sought detailed report of the illegal
encroachments set up over Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) lands.
Chairman
of the committee Dewan Ashiq Hussain Hussain chaired National Assembly
Standing Committee’s session on Cabinet Secretariat in which committee
considered Capital Development Ordinance 1960 for amendments but later
on it was left as it was after reviewing every bit of the ordinance.
Committee
showed grave concern over situation regarding the illegal encroachment
on CDA’s property.Committee Member Perveen Masood Bhatti proposed to
amend the CDA Ordinance.
It is decided in the session to visit all the Model Villages situated in G-12 sector and rural areas of Islamabad.
Other
members of the committee present during the session were Nawab
Sher-o-Sair, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Engineer Tariq Khattak, Sheikh Salah
Uddin and Syed Ala Uddin. Online
