The Lahore High Court has barred the Punjab government from using official resources in anti government rally of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz today (Friday).
The court also ordered the counsel for the Punjab government to submit written explanation in the court.
Justice Azmat Shaikh conducted hearing of the writ petition moved to
halt Punjab CM from holding rally against the central government. The
petitioner said that the Chief Minister being a Chief Executive could
not take out rally, that the resources of the Punjab government are
being used in the rally of the PML-N.
Justice Azmat Shaikh said that the PML-N should avoid using
government resources during anti-government rally, adding the other
political parties are also bound to this rule.
Justice Azmat Saeed said that the court would not allow any party to use the official resources for carrying out rallies.
The lawyers of Punjab government said that the rally is being carried
out with the contribution of workers of the PML-N.; meanwhile the court
