Police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) arrested 20 suspected people
including banned Tehreek-e-Taliban commander Usman Ghani during a joint
operation in the area of Korangin town in Karachi here on Thursday;
meanwhile 12 others suspected persons were arrested in Kwari Colony.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Shah Jehan Khan told the media that
three wanted culprits have been arrested during operation, adding that
commander Usman Ghani was arrested in wounded condition, FC, police and
women police officials were also there in overnight operation, he added.
SP Shah Faisal Chaudhry Asad told a private TV channel that police
and Special Protection Group have arrested six suspected people during
search operation in Billal colony area of Korangi town meanwhile illegal
weapons were also recovered during operation.
According to the police, five suspected people were also took into
custody from different operations in the area of North Nazimabad, adding
that police also recovered weapons during operation, culprits were
involved in street crimes, police added. SANA
