Karachi: Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik has said that
action against miscreants would be continued in Karachi to bring down
the crime rate and eliminate illegal activities from the city.
This
he said while chairing a meeting alongwith Chief Minister Sindh Syed
Qaim Ali Shah in CM’s House here on Tuesday, which took the review of
law and order situation in Karachi.
During the meeting Malik
expressed his satisfaction on the restoration of peace in Karachi. He
also appreciated the efforts by Sindh Police and rangers, to apprehend
the criminals, target killers and extortionists.
He said that
the law enforcement agencies would have to take effective and prompt
action against those elements without any political pressure and
discrimination.
The meeting decided that another high level
meeting would be held next week at Karachi to review progress and
results of the action taken by the law enforcement agencies against anti
