Hectic ‘senior efforts’ to lure back Zulfiqar Mirza

ISLAMABAD: Senior leaders of PPPP have speed up their efforts to reconcile differences, reservations of volatile PPPP dissident from Sindh, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza.

Reliable sources of PPPP have informed that co-chairman PPPP and President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari and other senior leaders want to retain Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza in party ranks.
It has been learnt that senior PPPP leader and federal minister for Religious Affairs, Khursheed Ahmad Shah has met the dissident Dr. Zulfiqar, numerous times in order to unsuccessfully persuade party’s Sindh strongman to cease his tirade against coalition partners, MQM, besides coming back to party folds.
ONLINE has been informed by sources that the dissident leader has also been offered to contest successful elections from the constituency of PS-57, Badin, which has been outrightly rejected by an unwilling dissident.
This refusal by Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza prompted PPPP’s offer to his son, which was again discarded by Mirza, who has also expressed his fears of his son being harmed by grudging elements.
Sources have also informed that PPPP leaders have also offered Badin’s by-elections to Speaker N.A, Dr. Fehmida Mirza. However this issue remains inconclusive until the return of Speaker N.A from her current tour of Albania. Online
