Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Speaker National Assembly on Sunday proceeded on a 5-day official visit to Malaysia.
During her stay in Malaysia, Dr. Fehmida Mirza will hold separate
meetings with the Chairman Senate and Speaker of the National Assembly
of Malaysia and other leaders of the Malaysian political hierarchy.
Dr. Fehmida Mirza in her discourse with Malaysian political
hierarchy will focus on Malaysian assistance for the flood affected
people in Sindh, augmentation of existing bilateral relations and
cooperation between the two brotherly countries especially between the
Pakistani and Malaysian legislatures.
The Speaker will also meet Pakistan expatriates living in Malaysia
to muster their support for the rehabilitation of flood effectees in
Sindh.
During the visit of Speaker National Assembly abroad, the Deputy
Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi will act as Speaker in pursuance of the
provisions of clause (3) of the Article 53 of the Constitution of the
Islamic Republic of Pakistan. SANA
