Seven more people died due to dengue virus out of which seven belong to Lahore; and the death toll raised at 139.
According to the details, Salim 23, Shahnaz Bibi, Khurshid 65, died
due to dengue in Gangaram hospital, while serve 50, belong to Gujrawala
died in Mayo Hospital.
The people died due to dengue in last twelve hours including Kiran,
Saeed, Babar, Moeed, Rashida, Rehana, Niyamat, Mubashar, Jaffar and
Uzma; meanwhile patients are facing lack of beds in government
hospitals.
Health officials said that the dengue death toll in Punjab has
reached 139. As many as 409 new dengue cases have been reported in
Lahore in the last 24 hours. There are now 12,862 dengue patients in
Punjab, out of which 11,261 are in Lahore.
The dengue committee set up on the Punjab government’s orders to create awareness in schools has started functioning.
On the other hand, the number of patients of dengue in Sindh is 557
out of which 449 are in Karachi and in KPK 197; meanwhile Abbotabad,
KPK mostly affected from dengue where 44 cases of dengue virus found. SANA
