ISLAMABAD: Ameer of Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam (F) Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman
has said that the USA, is herself is negotiating with Taliban in
Afghanistan but mounting pressure on Pakistan for conducting operation
against them here as she is losing the Afghan war.
Addressing a
press conference on Friday, he said that it would be better for USA to
leave Afghanistan than making Pakistan second Afghanistan. He said that
Afghan resistants has made USA toothless. The insurgency traveled to
Pakistan from Afghanistan during last decade. As a matter of fact USA
has almost been defeated the war against terrorism in Afghanistan. Now
she is mounting pressure in the name of Haqqani group. If this state of
affairs would persist, then it would be very difficult to root out
terrorism.
“Pakistan should watch carefully from the changing
scenario of the world and make the policies by keeping national
interests on top. If current policies would be continued, then no one
could save the country from destruction.
He said that a
unannounced martial law is imposed in the country as the government
wants to resolve every matter with the use of force as it has no
political solution of the problems. The tall claims regarding supremacy
of parliament is just eyewash. The affairs in Baluchistan are
deteriorating as the mutiny is raising its head there. If government
would try to work out the matter at gun point, it could have dare
consequences, which would be harmful for the integrity of the country.
Baluchistan requires solid and long lasting measures.
He said
that entire country is concerned about the situation in Karachi where
target killers and extortion mafia has been activated. Now the traders
of Karachi are forced to call the army. “The rulers that came into
power after carrying out agreements with USA, has failed to resolve the
people’s problem. They have still some time left for turning their
faces towards right direction and should commence to mitigate the
sufferings of the people. Online
