LAHORE: Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammed Iqbal has summoned assembly session on Thursday (August 11) at 10 am.
The session was convened through an order issued here Thursday on the requisition of opposition.
The
order was issued under clause (3) of Article 54 read with Article 127
of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, “I, Rana
Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Speaker, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, hereby
summon the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab to meet on 11th August
2011 at 10.00 a.m. in the Assembly Chambers, Lahore,” the notification
says.
It is pertinent to mention that hinting over making of
the Seraiki province, PPP senior leader Babar Awan urged Punjab
government to summarily summon assembly session on requisition
submitted by the opposition. Online
