Karachi situation dominates NA session Abassi accuses govt of large-scale corruption

ISLAMABAD: PML-N lawmaker, Haneef Abassi has said that current government has a PHD degree in corrupt practices, and had never accepted the rule of law and constitution as such.

Taking part in the NA debate on Thursday, he lambasted PPPP led government for failing to provide peace and harmony to Karachi, which resulted in killings of 1500 so far; and said that PM should always talk as a political worker, and not on ethnic basis.
He guaranteed, “Getting rid of Rehman Malik would prevail peace and harmony in rest of Country”, citing enormous foreign assets and laundered money owned by the interior minister, who would simply nestle cozily there in times of difficulties.
MQM’s Sajid Hussain Khan accused PPPP’s Zulfiqar Ali Mirza of backing the target killers of Karachi, and warned government to desist from evoking a befitting response from MQM, if government carried out its discriminations against the MQM.
Maulana Abdul Mallick stressed on resolving Karachi issue through dialogue, and stressed on deploying intelligence agencies in sensitive areas. He also stressed on political consensus of the problem.
He also pointed out that PPPP had always won elections here since 2002, while PML had always lost all the contests.
ANP’s Bushra Gohar was concerned over Karachi burning and bleeding to death, and wanted Karachi to be de-weaponized. She also declared that Rehman Malik’s presence in the City was a bad omen for peace and harmony here. Online
