TANDO MUHAMMAD KHAN: Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has said
that after the assessment of loss , compensation would be given in the
affected region from rains and flood . Zarai Bank would also offer soft
loans to the affectees by declaring the area calamity stricken zone.
This
he said while addressing to the affectees of rains and flood here on
Monday. He said that the devastation made by recent rains and floods is
very shocking . He said that the people belonging to the land of
Benazir Bhutto are very brave and they know that how to combat with the
difficulties.
He said that he came to take first hand knowledge
of the losses occurred by the recent spell of rains and floods. He
instructed Ministry of Interior that Wattan Cards might be issued to
the affectees so that government may start their financial assistance
as early as possible. He also issued directive to Farzana Raja,
Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme and Zumarad Khan , MD
Bait-ul-Mal to extend their sphere of functioning to the affected
areas.
He assured the people that PPP would not only restore
damaged infrastructure but also provide edible items, medicine and
clean drinking water to the affectees. He also approved the immediate
provision of 15000 tents to them. Online
