Punjab govt ready to formulate committee: Rana Sanaullah

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that he did not announce any fatwa for the murder of former law minister Babar Awan, adding that people are putting allegations against him intentionally.

Talking to media persons on Friday outside the Punjab Assembly, he said that they are ready to formulate the committee to investigate the irregularities in Punjab government’s sasti roti scheme and opposition leader Raja Riaz can head it.
He said that many times they asked opposition leader to talk seriously instead of saying “angry child” to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, adding that now the have spoke and opposition started crying.
He said that the leader of JUI-F Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri issued fatwa against former governor Punjab Salman Taseer but he was made Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, adding that he supported the former governor but fatwas are hanged with his name.
He said that if Babar Awan was going to talk in exaggeration language “takhat-e-Lahore etc” then he used to did in past he should not give statements like Moula Jatt, adding that he is writing a letter to Chairman Senate for passing resolution against him in the upper house of parliament.
He said that there is no danger for Baba Awan’s life any time he can visit Lahore, adding that he would welcomed if Babar Awan wanted to go in Supreme Court against him and PPP is now only to protect Babar Awan. SANA
