Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslimeague-Nawaz (PML-N) chief
Nawaz Sharif has criticised President Asifli Zardari and the PPP-led
federal government for its inability toontrol the spread of corruption
in the country.
Addressing a public gathering at Islamgarh, a village near Mirpur,harif
claimed that corruption was now at its highest in Pakistan’sistory and
accused Zardari of not learning from his past mistakes.
The PML-N chief said public money was being looted with both hands
andew corruption scandals of billions of rupees were emerging every
day.harif said if he knew Zardari’s intent, he would have never
signedhe Murree accord with him.
Warning that the people were running out of patience, Sharif wasuoted
by the Daily Times, as saying that the public should not voteor
Zardari’s candidates and chose a PML-N candidate instead.
He also criticised the government for not constituting probeommissions
over Abbottabad operation, PNS Mehran attack and Saleemhahzad murder
case, adding that the government was afraid to bringhe truth before the
people of Pakistan.
He said the public should not and would not remain silent overegligence on issues of national interest.
Pakistan Kashmir was also not the property of the Pakistan
People’sarty, but belonged to the 180 million people of Pakistan and
fiveillion people of Kashmir, Sharif said.(ANI)
