Four people were killed and six others injured Monday night in a suicide bomb attack near Pakistan's Peshawar city.
The blast occurred around 8.00 p.m. outside the house of local peace
committee leader Ijaz Bacha in Matni town, about 30 km south of
Peshawar, Xinhua reported. Bacha was killed in the attack.
Firing was heard after the blast, a source said adding that the toll
could increase. Several shops and vehicles near the house were
reportedly damaged.
Police and a rescue team rushed to the site shortly after the
explosion. The injured were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital in
Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. IANS
