Naval chief briefs PM on operation to save crew members of MV Suez

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Nauman Bashir called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani here at the PM House on Monday and briefed him about the humanitarian operation conducted by the Pakistan Navy to save the crew members of MV Suez. The Prime Minister appreciated the professional capabilities of Pakistan Navy in handling the situation.The Prime Minister also congratulated the Naval chief on the successful commissioning of new frigate, PNS Aslat, in the Pakistan Navy.

He said that the new frigate being a joint venture between Pakistan and China was yet another milestone of the long-standing friendship between the two countries.
The Naval chief also apprised the Prime Minister about other professional matters relating to the Pakistan Navy. APP
