Nawaz Sharif backs Afridi says coutnry turns into banana state

LAHORE: Referring to the alleged mishandling of the issue of the former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi, PML-N Chief, Nawaz Sharif accused the government of mistreating the matters of the national interest.

Talking to media after inauguration of a summer cricket camp former prime minister said that the government policies had turned Pakistan into a banana state where democracy had never been given chance to grow up while corruption and unaccountability made the situation worst here.
He expressed his wonder why the government was hesitating to constitute a commission to probe into the Abbottabad incident, adding that the delay had damaged the image of Pakistan in the world. Nawaz Sharif said that circumstances of the country become the most awful and with out accountability, the country could not be run.
N-League chief said he wanted to see Pakistan a prosperous and peaceful country but the government polices dragged the country into poverty and turmoil.
He said Shahid Afridi was a great player who brought the green shirts to semi final of the world cup and make the nation proud but mishandling in his case revealed the incompatibility of the cricket board. Sharif said former caption would deserve better dealing adding that national heros were being disgraced here. He further said cricket talent was spoiling here as there were lack of grounds and stadiums in the country. Online
