Feudal Lords must be brought into tax net: Farooq Sattar

Islamabad: Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has resorted that Economic crisis is the biggest issue of the country that can be resolved through non traditional budget and non developmental budget must be ended.

Farooq Sattar, MQM Parliamentarian said this while grants distribution ceremony to the National Press Club Islamabad here on Friday.
He said that tax must be collected from the feudal lords that will save revenues upto Rs.800 billion and the current political and administrative system must be uprooted.
General masses must adopt simple way of living and the budget relief to aristocracy will further extend the deprivation of poor, he said.
Non traditional budget will lead to glorious progress and prosperity as economic independence can lead to economic development, he said.
The government must take the people in confidence while making budget and relief must be given to common man in budget to lead them toward economic uplift, he said.
World economies face ups and downs so Pakistan is facing upward and downward trends in economy moreover energy crisis, oil, gas, electricity prices problem must be fixed, he said.
Employment must be provided to the people and tax system must be reformed on priority bases and corruption must be abolished, he said.
People must be empowered as strengthened nation can play better role in economic development, he said.
He said that MQM is the party of all the provinces adding that journalism is the fourth pillar of the state so MQM has special attention to press freedom.
The journalists must work for revival of democracy and Altaf Hussain has announced the Grant for the National Press Club on priority bases adding that MQM has played pivotal role in implementation of seventh wage board award, he said.
He said that the country is facing miscellaneous challenges and the people working in different departments must fulfill their duties with sincerity and devotion for the cause of homeland.
He said that whole the state depends on budget not only one institution as the country is already facing terrorism, law and order deterioration and masses were already crushed with economic decay, unemployment, inflation, and poverty so the budget must give relief to poor. Online
