Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad Khan says there should be "clarity" in Pak-US ties after killing of Osama bin Laden

Karachi : Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan says there should be "clarity" in Pakistan, United States relations after killing of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Abbotabad on May 2, 2011.

"In case of any confusion on this (bin Laden) issue might be harmful for both countries," Governor said Monday while talking to US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter who along with US Consul GeneralWilliam Martin met him at Governor House.
 "While the killing of bin Laden has led to several questions, but it also provided opportunity to Pakistan and the US to create atmosphere of confidence in their strategic issues," Dr Ebad Khan stated, says a press release.
Governor said Pakistan was a frontline state in the war against terrorism and given immense sacrificeswhich should be realized by the whole world. In war against terror, there were not only sacrifices by Pakistan Army personnel but the entire nation has also given many sacrifices and has been seriously affected. Dr Ebad Khan said country was faced with many challenges and some very important decisions could be taken in Budget for next fiscal year to determine road to economy.
According to press release, Munter told Governor that his efforts were to further consolidate relations between two countries. Munter said he would also take US government into confidence to restore confidence with Pakistan. "We want to play full role in the economic development of Pakistan." PPI
