Non democratic elements trying to divert the attention of the Government: PM Gilani

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has reiterated the commitment of the Government to continue the development schemes despite financial crunch.

Referring to the Abbotabad Incident, he maintained, that non democratic elements are trying to divert the attention of the Government from the development of the country and betterment of the masses. The economy of the country has been badly affected and the loss of lives of our armed forces and innocent civilians is more than that of all the allies, he added.
The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to parliamentarians who called on him at his Parliament House Chamber on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister observed that the Government was focusing on the early completion of the ongoing infrastructure projects. The development of the education and health sector, he added, is the priority of the Government. He asked the parliamentarians to personally monitor the schemes in these sectors.
Referring to the energy crisis, the Prime Minister said that Government is taking all measures to solve this issue. All stake holders are onboard to chalk out a solution. During the recent France visit, he added, the French investors agreed to invest in energy sector in Pakistan under joint Business Council to be set up by both the countries.
The parliamentarians lauded the policy statement of the Prime Minister in National Assembly yesterday. They termed the response of the Government timely and true representation of the will of Nation.
