Pakistan’s sacrifices in war on terror should be recognized: Ahmed Mukhtar


Rawalpindi: Federal Minister of Defence Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar has said that sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war against terrorism are more than any other country, which should be taken beyond any doubt.

This he said during a meeting with Ambassador of Japan, His Excellency Heroshi, who called him on in his office on Saturday.
Minister for Defence said that Pakistan possesses a great human resource potential in the form of youth, but the need is to create employment opportunities to provide them with suitable jobs.
He said that the country has an agro-based economy, and large fertile agriculture land is available there, which produces high quality crops, fruits, vegetables including export quality mushrooms, kinnos and rice. But due to lack in advanced machinery and equipments these products almost goes waste. By using the modern technology Pakistan can enhance its agricultural exports manifolds.
The Minister expressed a hope that the Japanese government would help them in processing their agro potential by investing in these sectors. It would help the country to boost on economic front.
The Ambassador informed the Minister that the Japan government would make investment in these sectors very soon in Pakistan. The Federal Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the life and property loss due to tsunami in Japan.Online
