ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Khalid Shamim
Wyne called on both Prime Minister Syed Yusaf Raza Gilani at PM House and
President Asif Ali Zardari at Awan-e-Sadr to discuss the overall security
situation of the country after Osama Bin Laden’s killing.
General Khalid Shamim Wyne in his separate meetings with the PM and President
here on Monday discussed the overall security situation of the country including
war against terrorism, upcoming budget of the defense forces and other
professional matters relating to the three arms of Pakistan’s defense forces
were also discussed after OBL’s killing in Abbottabad operation.
The sources added that during the meeting the PM and President said that
defense expenditures will meet in any condition despite of economic crises while
we will not compromise over the integrity and security of the country.
They further added that all three armed forces will be equipped with
advanced, and sophisticated arms and other facilities. Online
