Peshawar: The federal government Sunday decided to install new
Biometric system at eight posts along with Afghan border to prevent
illegal entry to Pakistan.
According to sources, this decision
has been taken in awake of involvement of Afghan citizens in terror
activities in the country. A team of interior ministry visited the
Torkham border to monitor situation for reinstallation of the system
and sent their survey report to the ministry.
Source told that
the biometric system would be installed at Torkham, Chaman, Bajaur,
North Waziristan, Miranshah and other posts along with Pak-Afghan
border. This system had been installed in government of former
President Musharraf but resistance of Kabul government and end of
Musharraf regime resulted postponement of this program. Online
