UK refuses to hand over Pervez Musharraf

UK has refused to hand over the former military dictator, Pervez Musharraf, who is wanted by a court in Benazir murder case and a trial court has already issued his non-boilable arrest warrant. Musharraf,
who was president when Benazir was killed in December 2007 in a gun and suicide bomb attack, is in self-imposed exile in London. The UK government has formally informed Pakistan Interior Ministry that the ex military dictator could not be handed over to Pakistan as UK and Pakistan has not extradition treaty to exchange accused. Musharraf is alleged to have been part of a “broad conspiracy” to have his political rival killed before elections. The Nation
