GAWDAR : Chief of Army Staff General Ashfiq Pervez Kayani has said that internal challenges are more dangerous for Pakistan than external challenges, adding that Russia was also divided because it was facing internal challenges.
He said that army’s two battalions would be withdrawn from Sui and FC would be deployed in place of army, adding that army would not participate in any military operation in future and FC would conduct future operations.
Addressing the ceremony after inaugurating the Institute of Technology Gawdar COAS said that Army Medical College would be established in Queeta soon, adding that help of Chief Minister is necessary for army operations in Balochistan.
He said that 5,000 Baloch youngsters would be reqcuited in the army during the current year as 4,000 were recruited last year.
He said that in the future FC would conduct operations on the orders of provincial government. He said that only army should not be strong but strong nation can play an important role for the defense of country.
He said that Balochistan masses would participate in the development of country, adding that Pakistan is a safe country and army would work for the progress of Balochi masses.
Chief Minister Balochistan Sardar Aslam Khan Raesani, Corpse Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Javed Zia received General Ashfiq Kiyani upon his arrival in Gawdar and a large number of army officers and students were present on the occasion. SANA
