New Delhi : Indian Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy Saturday asked Prime MinisterManmohan Singh not to attend India-Pakistan cricket World Cup semifinal at Mohali next Wednesday,
saying it would put “undue pressure” on Indian players."It also would amount to betrayal of National Security Guard (NSG) jawans who laid down their lives during 2008 Mumbai attacks. For March 30 is also founding day of NSG," he told reporters here.He said PM Singh was due to attend an NSG function in the morning and attend match in the afternoon that day. "We have centrally held Pakistan guilty of Mumbai attacks. It won't be proper for him to share the dais with Pakistan leaders which is betrayal of NSG jawans' sacrifice," he said. He suggested Singh may host winner of semifinal clash at his house later.
