Bangladesh accuses India of killing hundreds of its citizens

Dhaka : After celebrating 40th Anniversary of Bangladesh Independence, the country’s HomeMinister Shahara Khatun reported killing of as many as 136 Bangladeshis due to gunshots by Indian Border Security Force since January,
2009.She said about 1,000 Bangladeshis were killed by Indian border guards over the last decade, as reported by Human Rights Watch, an international human rights group.Indian Border Security Force is following orders of Shoot of Sight. For several years, the barbed fence aimed at sealing Indo-Bangla border was delayed, deadlines become just another date extended by a year. The border is a barbed wire with height less than three meters and construction going on for years with no definite end date for its completion.
