Islamabad, : A 5.6-magnitude earthquake on Monday afternoon jolted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Islamabad, parts of Punjab and Azad Kashmir, Pakistan Meteorological Department said.
Its epicentre was 188 kilometres in Faizabad district of northern Afghanistan in the Hindu Kush mountain range, PMD Chief Meteorologist Mohammad Riaz said.The tremors were felt at 2:49 pm in many cities in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and parts of Azad Kashmir.
