ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Friday that no one
should be worried about security of Mansoor Ejaz as he would be provided
fool proof security.
He said this while talking to media men
outside parliament house Friday. He stated providing security to Mansoor
Ejaz was his responsibility.
To a question on issuance of visa
to Mansoor Ejaz inferior minister said he had received a telephonic call
from Pakistani high commissioner in UK and “ I directed him to issue
visa to Mansoor Ejaz because government and people of Pakistan wanted
to ask from him he had played pivotal role to topple Benazir government
and once again efforts were underway to pull down our government.
He said Mansoor Ejaz had given statement about ISI and a reply would be sought from him in this respect.
Responding
to a question he said Mian Nawaz Sharif had been demanding snap
elections eversince PPP had come to power. “But I want to tell him that
people have given 5-year mandate to PPP and government will complete its
term. I want to tell him his desire about snap elections will be never
materialized and elections will take place as per schedule”, he added.
