Pervez Musharraf should not be arrested upon arrival: Shujaat Hussain

Pirjo Goath: Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Husain has said that he wishes former military ruler Pervez Musharaf should not be arrested upon his arrival to Pakistan.

He said Musharraf would not return soon. Speaking to media after offering condolences with Sibghatullah Rasihdi over the death of his father Pir Pagara, once close aide of the former dictator said next general election would be held in time.
“We are ready for election whenever it is held,” he said. When asked whether his party will make electoral alliance with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), he said seat adjustment would be made with the PPP.
Replying a question, he said though the MQM didn’t accompany the prime minister to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, they attended a banquet given in the honour of coalition partners by the government.
Shujaat said all the parties should make concerted efforts to steer the country out of crises. To a question regarding presidential immunity, the Q-league chief said he could not answer as the matter was sub-judice. Online
