ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza
Gilani have said that the entire country should give priority to the
national interests by keeping aside personal gains on the occasion of
Eid-ul-Azha.
In their separate message to the nation on the eve
of Eid , both the leaders emphasized the need to include these people
which were affected either by terrorism or flood in the cheerful moment
of Eid, because this juncture impart the training of sacrifice.
President
Zardari in his message said that the Eid is celebrated in the memory of
Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and it demands from the Muslim Ummah to evolve a
joint strategy. The real spirit of Eid is to offer sacrifice the dearest
thing for the sake of getting content of Almighty Allah and on the
other hand Eid is expression of unity among Muslims.
The
President urged upon the people to not forget the oppressed segment of
the society on this occasion of happiness. “The day of Eid makes me sad
as the people of Pakistan have been forced to lead life in destitute due
unemployment, meager salary structure and lack of justice”, President
added.
Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said in his message
that the country is standing at most critical point of the history so
the unity among the rank and file of whole nation has become the need of
the day. He said that prosperous people should take care of the
have-nots, so that all the people may celebrate Eid without any
discrimination.
He conveyed his heartiest felicitation to the entire nation on the occasion of Eid. Online
