ISLAMABAD: A 16-year-old girl committed suicide by pouring petrol on
herself due to domestic issue in jurisdiction of Barri Imam here on
Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Farhat Shaheen, a
resident of Mohalla Chijar of village Noor Pur Shahan Barri Imam. This
news agency contacted the heirs of the departed girl to probe the
reasons behind the suicide but they denied the incident by saying that
it was a LPG cylinder explosion.
Meanwhile, the news agency
contacted the neighborhoods who confirmed the suicide by the young girl.
The neighbors said that the girl basically belonged to Multan and was
living here in her Uncle’s house and engaged with her cousin. They
reported that the girls break up with his cousin was main reason behind
the suicide.
They told this news agency that the girl was burnt
badly as she locked herself in the kitchen and poured petrol to make
fire. The family members heard the shouting of the young girl caught by
heavy fire but were unable to open the door of the kitchen.
The
neighbors said that number of people gathered after hearing the shouting
from the bereaved house. They said that the girl was brought out by
removing the roof made of tin-sheets and was shifted to PIMS hospital,
where she died after few minutes. Online
