At least nine people have been died in a roads accident in city area of Shujaabad; while, 13 others passengers sustained injuries on Thursday.
According to details, a passenger bus and a hiace van collided
head-on on Shujabad Road near Basti Khokhar, killing nine people and
injuring 13 others.
The bodies and the injured have been shifted to nearby Nishtar
Hospital. Passenger van was on its way to Multan from Jalal Pur Mirwala
and while crossing to another van collided with bus coming from opposite
side. The bus was going to Multan from Shujaabad.
An injured man Arshad said the head-on collision occurred owing to
the over-speeding bus coming from the opposite side, adding the crash
was so formidable that the van was completely destroyed.
The deceased include the Hiace driver Muhammad Akhtar. Other bodies have been shifted to the morgue of the hospital. SANA
