Police apprehends 50 outlaws, recovers 5 stolen cars

ISLAMABAD: Ensuring elaborate security measures on Eid occasion, Islamabad police has nabbed 50 outlaws and recovered five stolen cars, 62 wine bottles and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.

According to details, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan directed all police officials for effective security arrangements in the city on occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, says a press statement here on Thursday.
In compliance of these directions, strict vigilance brought several achievements for the force including recovery of five stolen and tempered cars, arrest of 20 absconders including proclaimed offenders as well as court absconders.
During these last five days, several other criminals were also arrested and five pistols, 62 wine bottles, stolen mobile phones and looted items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were recovered from them.
It is to mention that a total of 2000 cops performed patrolling and security duties on Eid occasion and residential areas were focused to curb burglary and theft activities.
The IGP Islamabad and SSP have appreciated performance of their staff who remained vigilant to ensure protection to lives and property of citizens.
The police officers including SPs also visited various police posts, checked security duties and briefed cops as how to ensure effective security.
They also lauded their professionalism and their devotion for security to citizens. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan has said Islamabad police has elicited a great applaud from the citizens due to its effective policing and efforts would remain continue to ensure more relief and security to citizens.
Meanwhile Acting SSP Sajid Kyani has also directed all police officials to ensure further effective policing in their respective areas to curb activities of anti-social elements. Online
